Jason Hoyt, host of TeaPartyPatriots Live radio and concerned citizen read off the names and stories of those who died with nationalized health care.

At last week’s Organization for America healthcare rally in Orlando, liberals, Democrats, farm worker advocates, and Obamites gathered in pseudo-somber ritual. Numbering under 50 attendees, the OFA workers related the stories out of context of those supposed to have died without health care. Upset that anti-nationalized health care protesters showed up in even larger numbers (I stopped counting at 75) holding placards of names of victims who died in countries with nationalized health care, the pro-Obama individuals shouted and chest-thrusted themselves into the faces of “handsoff” pro-conservatives to intimidate them to leave. The pro-nanny statists were shocked and appalled that they were being upstaged.

All in vain.

The protesters, educated by the Health Care for America Now videos (see below), responded appropriately with more patriotic songs and louder chants of “Kill the Bill,” “Tort Reform Now,” “Free Market Reform,” and “Just Say No!”

Local Channel 13 tv station who came to exclusively videotape the Organizing For America pro-socialist event gave up and went home when the resolute anti-healthcare protesters were too numerous and surrounded the small group. The ambiguous title insinuates that hundreds came out for government health care unless you were there and know that only 40 or so showed up, the majority of the crowd were vehemently against government intrusion into their lives!

Hundreds Pack Vigil At Lake Eola

Hundreds of people packed downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola Park for a tea party Wednesday.

The vigil was held to bring awareness about the millions of Americans living without health care and to tackle the health care reform debate.

Supporters said the health care is desperately needed to help American citizens, but many opponents said a government takeover will destroy our Constitution and lead to rationing of health care.

“We shared a book called ‘Shattered Lives,’ where they had over a hundred stories of people around the world,” said Jason Hoyt, who is opposed to HR 3200. “The Canada system and the British system that died or were rejected because of rationed care. And we know that we do need reform. We need tort reform. There’s other reform that we could be doing. But HR 3200 specifically is not the answer.”

“I would like to see changes in the system,” said Kelly Young, who is for health care reform. “It’s funny they talk about health care being rationed, but it already is being rationed. They talk about we need to keep it competitive for the sake of technological advances, but we have advances and people aren’t allowed to get them.”

The vigil was put on by Organizing for America and Moveon.org.

It won’t help the MSM’s Messiah if they showed that Americans don’t want government healthcare plans.

Local MSM’s Serve Condescension And Indifference On Tea Parties

leave a comment »

The size of the enthusiastic and patriotic throngs surrounding the Lake Eola amphitheatre at the Orlando Tea Party looks like it depends on partisanship as to attendance. Floridians Unite reports that “the city estimated it at 5000-6000 and the police on site wholeheartedly agreed.” The Orlando Slantinel reports that the police told them 4,200. Reading her description of the day, it wasn’t the same event I attended. I love the exactness of the 200 in totals and took offense at the reporter’s condescending article titled “Eola Tea Party” not the “Orlando Tea Party.” It’s first sentences describing the well-attended and emotional event on page B2 as one of the singers “shrieking.” The reporter made it seem more like a gathering of senior citizens and dog lovers who wrapped their “novel” banner around their dogs’ waists.

Helen Eckinger didn’t mention all ages from babies to the elderly were represented at the Orlando Tea Party. She didn’t mention all the Special Olympic parents that came to protest Obama. No recall of the fact that all local city and county officials were invited but NONE showed up. Nothing written about all the young people, teenagers and college students upset with the fiscal burden they are facing. No mention of entire families that were seriously concerned about their children’s future. Eckinger forgot to write about all the military veterans who were there and praise, gratitude, and admiration given to them by over and over through the day.

She didn’t mention the long lines of thousands of people so upset that they were willing to stand in line for hours to sign the parchment paper copy of the “Orlando Tea Party Constitution” which outlined each of the grievances and will be expedited to the White House.

Obviously, this quiet revolution is getting louder and the MSM’s are not going to help the rabble-rousers of rebellious Revolutionaries.

Even the local FOX affiliate television station gave it tawdry lip service on their website:

Tea Party Sets up Shop in Lake Eola

Trinnette Bowers, FOX 35 News
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) – A huge crowd showed up at Orlando’s Lake Eola Saturday afternoon, to take part in a national movement called the “Tea Party.” It’s a throw back to the Boston Tea party, but this time, tea isn’t being dumped into the sea.

Cities nationwide have been holding the so-called “Tea Parties” as peaceful protests driven by conservatives who say they want less government, less wasteful spending, fewer bailouts, and no socialism. The “Tea Parties” are filled with people ranging from young and old, to current voters and future voters.

Now, that may be where they differ, but during these protest, they all have one thing in common; they’re all apparently worried about getting their piece of the pie. These “tea parties” are a national movement that has finally made its way to orlando’s lake eola.

Organizers plan to take a signed petition of sorts to washington d.C., demanding more accountability and, what they consider better leadership by President Obama’s administration.

Every conservative needs to rise up and contact these MSM’s and tell them to “Stop with the condescension. Just report the news. Don’t put your spin on it!”

It’s going to be up to us to save the US.

My indifferance is now directed at Channel 35 now… they won’t get my viewership anymore. Contact Fox 35 here.

Orlando Tea Party Largest To Date

with 6 comments

Orlando Tea Party 2009-03-21 12:53

The Orlando Tea Party at Lake Eola was a spectacular patriotic success and the largest Tea Party to date! The estimated crowd was nearly 6,000 attending! Ages of attendees ranged from newborns and their parents, young elementary students, teenagers, families, proud military veterans, and retirees. Bud Hedinger, talk show radio host at WFLA 540AM in Orlando emceed the event. Featured speakers were:

Special thanks to Lisa Feoreli, and the staff of the Bender Construction company who organized the entire event with the help of Bud Hedinger, and WFLA 540AM. Glenn Beck, who was in Orlando this week was unable to move his schedule around to appear. That did not dampen the sunshine and the enthusiasm of the conservatives attending from around the state and even from across the country!

Music was provided by Lloyd Marcus and the Macpherson trio. Marcus’s song “American Tea Party” a hit on the Internet made the people stand up and cheer.

At the event, Bud Hedinger asked each person in the audience to sign the Orlando Tea Party Constitution which was 50 feet long. The long lines of people wanting to put their John Hancock on the important parchment paper circled around Lake Eola. Monday, the Orlando Tea Party Constitution will be heading express mail to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Can’t wait till Obama gets home from his campaigning to read all of the signatures!

Special quotes:

Jon Gutmacher: “2nd Amendment: The rightof the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed upon! Remain vigilant!”

Lawrence W. Tudor: “So much wealth has been destroyed in the mindless rush to perdition. Free people have power that is more powerful than any other government! Find your voice!”

Andrea Shea King: “Washington, D.C. is the enemy.”

Kristinn Taylor: Joe Biden and Barack Obama need to apologize to Barbara West.”
Taylor attacked RINO Governors Charlie Crist and Arnold Schwartzenegger, clumping them in the same shameful category as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dick Schumer, Olympia Snowe, Patricia Collins, and Arlen Spector. The crowd booed and hissed in agreement. Taylor’s admonishment to the Democrats and RINO’s: “Remember what you sow in the wind, you will reap in the whirlwind.” High-energy and passionate, Taylor inspired the audience with a quote from Ronald Reagan, “Inflation is the cruelest tax of all.” He asked those listening avidly to be proud of the beliefs and do not hide themselves behind masks like the anti-Americans who wear scarves over their faces when parading at protests.

Lisa Feroli announced that the next Tea Party in Orlando could be held late summer.
