Who Should Get Elected in 2010?

leave a comment »

Drive-by media, MSM’s trying to keep from being impotent without audiences are doing their best to manipulate the 2010 elections already. Every single (legal) voter who in 2010 needs to know where the candidates stand. Watch debates, talk to the candidates, do your research. It helps if you know where you stand on the following critical issues. What other issues are important to you? If you don’t know what’s going on – how can you vote to have someone represent your views? NØbama fooled millions of voters with his glib teleprompter speeches. With the government bail-outs and spending, his popularity is going down. Voting locally and regionally will be key to winning back the White House in 2012. Congress needs to be thrown out and conservatives put back into office.

It’s simple- yes or no will do. Where does a candidate stand on these issues?

  1. State sovereignity
  2. Constitution – original interpretation or living document?
  3. Federal and SCOTUS judges making policies
  4. Illegal immigration and amnesty
  5. Abortion
  6. National health care
  7. Government’s control of business
  8. Czars (not elected, not responsible to the voter)
  9. Taxation – Fair tax, dismantle IRS
  10. War on Terrorism
  11. Unions
  12. Nuclear Energy
  13. Drilling/mining for oil/gas/coal

If a candidate doesn’t answer these questions succinctly, or you don’t know where they stand, do not vote them into office! RINO’s should be kicked to the curb. Representation in Congress is our right – don’t throw our rights away with subliminal messianic rhetoric, global apologies, and government corporation and social insecurity. Socialism, fascism, and marxist regimes are not what our Constitution is based on or founded the greatest country in the world.

Two Mile Anti-Abortion Protest At Notre Dame

leave a comment »

Jill Stanek provides incredible coverage of two miles anti-abortion protesters enroute to the University of Notre Dame’s main entrance. How I wished NØbama could have seen these posters of life! The coward took a different route to avoid the protesters.

NØbama’s evil speech about dialoguing about how to “reduce” abortions was disgustingly smug when he as a Senator is one of the reasons that we have a culture of death in this country!

Go to Jill Stanek’s blog for five other excellent posts and more videos on today’s protest at the now secular University of Notre Dame.

Protesters interrupt NØbama’s speech while Catholics boo and yell “yes we can [kill babies]”

UPDATE: Notre Dame Scandal To Break?

with 8 comments

UPDATE: Catholic Church to tell the Messiah Wannabe “Let My People Go?” After two months of American Catholics all across the country screaming, could it be that prayers really do work and that the USCCB and the Vatican are starting to clamp down on secularism at Catholic universities? Will Father Jenkins be fired or forced to resign for the deliberate attempt at honoring an abortion advocate?

Breaking news: “We’re not at liberty to release details, but it appears that events are taking shape aimed at correcting the abuses at Notre Dame. These plans may include the canceling of Obama’s appearance at the commencement.”

JMJ What Is Wrong With Notre Dame?

Update: Notre Dame Scandal Petition

The paedophile scandal thrust across the pages of the secular MSM’s (even though paedophila crimes statistically are higher in schools and Protestant churches) hurt the Catholic Church around the world. The moral authority of the Church was attacked. Sadness and disillusionment grew silently resulting in attendance declining as Catholics struggle for spiritual and moral leadership in a secular world. Parishes close alienating more Catholics and disappointing even cradle Catholics that no longer attend mass.

In the last election, we should have been a clear cut voice for conservative family values. There should have been no division among Catholics but Obama won with 54% of the Catholic voters. Entire parishes were confused as to who they should or should not vote for. Pro-abortion Catholic politicians and government officials defied church authority and the threat of ‘latae sententiae’ excommunication to force their beliefs on faithful Catholics. Some parish priests advocated for Obama and others rallied against Obama’s anti-life rhetoric. Recently pseudo-Catholic theologian Nancy Pelosi embarrassed herself and millions of Roman Catholic Americans by visiting Pope Benedict XVI and clearing her conscience about what the Catholic Church teaches.

Now will we see even more confusion, disillusionment among good Catholics struggling for moral leadership from the Church? Outrage may be more of the emotion vocalized. Despite the Catholic Church’s own teachings of the evils of abortion and fatal stem cell research, the Catholic University of Notre Dame will be giving the pro-evil Barack Hussein Obama an honorary degree May 17th at their commencement services.

Who in their God-given intelligent mind would think that Obama deserves an honorary degree after signing away the lives of millions of infants with partial birth abortions and feticide?

Why did the USCCB ask all the parishes to send a postcard to Congress to stop the passage of the fatal stem cell research? Were they just trying to keep Catholics passified that they were doing “something?”

What good Catholic with God-ly principles and family values will not rethink the Catholic Church’s purposes in honoring a man for acts that will kill more humans in one year than all the military deaths in American wars combined.

Okay, I’ll say it: What the hell is the University of Notre Dame thinking? The academic school named for Our Lady, Mary the Mother of God? The Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. An unwed mother of God who could in this day and age get an abortion with the gracious funding from Barack Obama.

Notre Dame prides itself as an “independent, national Catholic university” – as noted on Google search pages – I guess that means the institution really is independent from the Vatican.

We need to raise holy hell and stop this blasphemy of recognizing non-Catholics and pro-abortion politicians as role models and characters of good faith. Catholics around the world should pound on heaven’s doors with prayers to give the USCCB spiritual strength to do the right thing. After all they ask Catholics to do the right things.

As with the pedophilia scandal, Catholics made their outrage known by not funding the Catholic Church’s lawsuits through the Bishops Appeal. Catholics need to take it a step further. The Vatican needs to state that the USCCB and the University of Notre Dame are Catholic institutions and demand that they act like it.

Reverend Jenkins, find an excuse. Change the date of the Commencement and don’t tell the White House. Just be gone when Obama arrives. Don’t give Obama a stage to make a mockery of Catholicism!

Make your voices heard. Send a postcard to the Vatican.

Will USCCB Risk Credibility Of Authority?

leave a comment »

More than 200,000 people, Catholics and non-Catholics have signed the petition to the University of Notre Dame to reconsider having NObama at their commencement ceremony. In conferring an honorary degree of leadership on this president whose first act was to sign authorization to fund abortions outside the United States, Reverend Jenkins, University of Notre Dame’s president elect is shouting to the world his political bias and disregard for Catholic theology.

How many alumni will stop supporting this once bastion of Catholic faith, now a pathetic kool-aid drinking secular institution?

If the the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops does not speak out against this honorarium, and I don’t mean just a few bishops with a guilty conscience or those who have a shred of moral principles still left, then the Catholic Church [aka Pope Benedict XVI] will cease to have any right to tell Catholic members of Congress, and any Catholic what they can or cannot do.

On the USCCB page, Cardinal George of NObama’s hometown is petitioning President NObama to designate Haiti with Temporary Protected Status.

In a letter dated March 19, Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), urged President Obama to designate Haiti for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for a period of 18 months. A designation of TPS permits nationals of a designated country to reside in the United States legally and qualify for work authorization because of civil conflict or natural disaster in their home country. Eighteen months is the longest period under law that a country can be designated for TPS, although such a designation may be renewed.

Where is Cardinal George on contacting President NObama on protecting unborn children with “temporary protected status?” Surely Cardinal George feels it’s better to speak up to protect Haitians than the millions of unborn babies. It sends a dangerous secular message to all Catholics everywhere that they can do what they want as long as they support NObama, the first black president. The irony is that black families were the targeted victims of Margaret Sanger Planned Parenthood’s agenda of “eugenics.” Now the Diocese of Chicago is supporting the one person who signed his name in the blood of millions of innocent lives [a year] and sealed their fate. What are Catholics supposed to believe?

UPDATE: This makes me FURIOUS! What a piece of crappy, weak, and immoral fence sitting is the request of the Order of the Holy Cross that NObama “rethink his position.

U.S. Father Hugh W. Cleary, Holy Cross superior general in Rome, said that when Obama receives an honorary degree from the Indiana university and delivers the commencement address in May, he should take to heart the objections of Catholics who have been scandalized by the invitation.

Father Cleary asked the president to use the occasion to “give your conscience a fresh opportunity to be formed anew in a holy awe and reverence before human life in every form at every stage — from conception to natural death.”

The 13-page letter, dated March 22, was made available to Catholic News Service in Rome. Father Cleary also prepared an abridged version of the text as an “open letter” to the president, which was expected to be published on the Web site of America magazine.

Father Cleary’s letter began by congratulating Obama on being awarded an honorary doctorate from Notre Dame, and said the university was honored to have him deliver the commencement address.

The visit should be a “teachable moment” for all involved, Father Cleary said.

Think of how many women have been crucified and subject to “latae sentiatae” because of the guilt of abortions. How many were counseled to just the experience of abortion as a “teachable moment?” How many people were told by the Church that if they in any way helped to procure an abortion, they would excommunicate themselves? And the Church spokesperson is saying “Congratulations?”

This is as intolerable a position as the entire NObama presidency. My gut reaction is to say the whole lot at the head of the Catholic Church need to be cleaned out as much as Congress needs to go.

Great Britain And Canada’s Health In Decline

leave a comment »

Obama’s force-feeding Americans nationalized health care while making sure that there will be a limited amount of patients due to abortion and euthanasia, doesn’t bode well for the United States. Looking at the example of Britain, Canada, and Europe, the prognosis for socialized medicine is that it’s a failure.

Let’s pray for the death of nationalized health care. Our lives depend on it dying quickly.

Time Magazine: FOCA Is A Mythical Bill

leave a comment »

How do you know when everyday voters are making a difference in the war against abortion? When TIME magazine writes an editorial stating that the Freedom of Choice Act is a mythical bill. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Postcard campaign against Obama’s murder of millions of babies is making headlines with Congress getting bombarded by voters, Catholic and non-Catholics. Patrick Madrid writes about Time’s crusade against the Catholic Church.

The U.S. Catholic Church’s crusade against the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) has all the hallmarks of a well-oiled lobbying campaign. A national postcard campaign is flooding the White House and congressional offices with messages opposing FOCA, and Catholic bishops have made defeating the abortion rights legislation a top priority. In the most recent effort to stop the bill, Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia sent a letter to every member of Congress imploring them to “please oppose FOCA.”

There is only one hitch. Congress isn’t about to pass the Freedom of Choice Act — because no such bill has been introduced in the current Congress.

Go to Patrick Madrid’s real facts about FOCA. Keep up the good work, Catholics. The gates of Hell, shall not prevail.

Here’s Obama’s promise to sign FOCA into law.

Pelosi In Denial Of Pope’s Admonishment

leave a comment »

Pope Benedict XVI agreeing to meet with Sen. Nancy Pelosi, 3rd in line for the United States presidency is enough to make Catholics’ blood boil. But there is precedence for popes to meet with U.S. Catholic politicians that defy Catholic doctrine when Pope John Paul II met with pro-choice Catholic presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro in 1985. The Vatican, though does not allow any photographs and makes no fanfare announcements of meetings with Catholics who are not in good standing, making the meeting simple and matter of fact to reinforce the Church’s position to the world.

Facing criticism about mixed signals, the Vatican issued its statement immediately after the meeting broke up.

“His Holiness took the opportunity to speak of the requirements of the natural moral law and the church’s consistent teaching on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death,” it read, “which enjoin all Catholics, and especially legislators, jurists and those responsible for the common good of society, to work in cooperation with all men and women of good will in creating a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development.”

Not only was it unusual to issue a statement after a meeting with an official who’s not a head of state, routine Vatican declarations after diplomatic meetings also generally sum up the range of issues discussed rather than concentrating on a particular point.

In that sense, the statement can only be read as a rejection of Pelosi’s statements last summer, and, in general, of her argument that it’s acceptable for Catholics in public life to take a pro-choice position.

What is shocking is that Pelosi has the audacity to ignore the Pope’s admonishment in her press release. She instead chose to make her recall a mockery of the “It’s all about me” audience with the soft-spoken Catholic leader.

In a statement issued by her office, Pelosi said it was with “great joy” that she and her husband Paul met with Benedict.

“In our conversation, I had the opportunity to praise the Church’s leadership in fighting poverty, hunger and global warming, as well as the Holy Father’s dedication to religious freedom and his upcoming trip and message to Israel,” Pelosi said.

“I was proud to show His Holiness a photograph of my family’s papal visit in the 1950s, as well as a recent picture of our children and grandchildren,” said the California congresswoman, who has often expressed pride in her religious heritage.
