Seeing A Pink Elephant?

with one comment

You’re not drinking.

The Okavango Delta is a pristine, undeveloped area of Africa where common transportation are by foot and canoes. Filming a television program, scientists have found a rare albino elephant. The unique element of albino elephants are they aren’t white but pink.

This little baby will have to be protected from the sun and may eventually suffer from blindness, common problems for all albinos.

Mike Holding, the BBC photographer, spotted the calf while following a herd of elephants for a BBC documentary.
