The Invisible Woman

with 9 comments

Poignant and brief monologue for a Sunday afternoon. “Women of Faith,” Nicole Johnson’s insight into thoughts every mother and wife has had at one time or another in their life. Why do we do what we do for our husband, children, family members, and close friends? Even for strangers. This is one video to pass on to Mom, wife, new mothers, girlfriends, and heroines in our every day lives.

I loved the inscription inside Judith Dupre’s book, Churches : “With admiration for the greatness of what you’re building when no one sees.”

Thank you, Carol for passing along.

  2. The best gift is sent anonymously. Next time the occasion arises, send the gift without a card. The joy in giving a gift is to witness the thrill in the receiver’s eyes..not the thanks given us. Our works and efforts are always seen by God.

  7. I like the thought – but I am offended by the idea that the woman finally turns down the TV herself. If she is invisible, it is because she does not require responsibility from her child. This child need someone to explain that it is hurtful to say “no one” is with them. These are activities integral to the building of a decent human.

  8. Do you just not post comments that reflect ideas contrary to the original statement?

  9. All comments received. as long as they are not personal attacks or vulgar, are posted. There is a time delay before posts, so sometimes it takes longer than other times to show up on the blog. I just don’t get many disagreements.

I find it oddly ironic that with all the political conservative viewpoints and blasphemic topics regularly posted, that the one post that discusses women’s self-encouragement and self-affirmation is the post that receives criticism.

Feel free to vent or disagree any time.
