UPDATE: Chinese “child should be flawless, internal feelings, and reflections.”

China Doll proves 1,730,000 girls have disappeared from China.

No wonder China’s human rights are flawed – China has no use for women.

From the little girl singing the Chinese anthem in a red dress and pigtails to faking the fireworks, superficial Beijing officials worried about buck teeth and camera errors.
What a heart-breaking decision for Yang Peiyi all because of looks. How wonderfully human would it have been to have Yang sing her heart out in front of the world. the seven year old Yang Peiyi handled it graciously by saying she was lucky to be chosen to sing.
The Beijing Olympic committee defended their decision to not show live fireworks citing filming the fireworks from all angles would have presented problems and endangered the helicopter crew.

Gao Xiaolong, head of the visual effects team for the ceremony, said it had taken almost a year to create the 55-second sequence. Meticulous efforts were made to ensure the sequence was as unnoticeable as possible: they sought advice from the Beijing meteorological office as to how to recreate the hazy effects of Beijing’s smog at night, and inserted a slight camera shake effect to simulate the idea that it was filmed from a helicopter.

“Seeing how it worked out, it was still a bit too bright compared to the actual fireworks,” he said. “But most of the audience thought it was filmed live – so that was mission accomplished.”

What China needs to understand is that honesty is the best policy in everything, including government.
