Waiter, There’s A Frog In My Salad.

with 2 comments

Surviving all the way from Florida to New York, a woman had a frog jump out of her organic lettuce salad.

The Prospect Heights mom, who doubles as a stage actress, described the tiny visitor no bigger than the tip of her pinky finger as “one tough frog.”

She said first the frog survived a journey from South Florida to the Park Slope Food Coop, then another three days in her refrigerator.

UPDATE- the woman bought her lettuce at a coop.

  1. the frog was in a bunch of lettuce she bought at a member-run food coop, not at a restaurant. since the lettuce was organic, the frog was still alive after travelling from florida, and then living in her fridge for 3 days after she brought the lettuce home.

just wanted to clarify – the story’s been posted all over the place, and your post wasn’t accurate.

  2. Thanks for the heads up! I stand corrected. Good news that it was her own refrigerator. I completely missed the “brought home.”
